Letter from a Mr. Edward Steele-Wilson
To whom it may concern
Due to a recent bout of aged carelessness, I inadvertently left a rod, reel and line at WADDA High Newton Fishery.
Date: Sunday 23rd May 2010
Time: 06.30hrs
Location: High Newton Fishery Quarry Car Park
Rod:
Hardy Ultralite Plus, 10ft, 7#, 3 piece, grey blank, black whippings, brown hardwood reel seat, one uplocking nut
Reel:
Hardy Golden Prince, 3⅛” dia, 7/8#, brown anodised, gold engraved lettering.
Line:
Rio Gold, WF7F Moss Green/Gold
WADAA manager checked the car park at 10:00hrs and with all people fishing at that time, but the equipment had already been discovered by whomever and suitably secreted.
I possess the rod joint stoppers, rd bag, tube, reel pouch, spare spools. All items can be appropriately matched and are traceable.
The descriptions and serial numbers of rod, reel and line have been given to Cumbria Constabulary, Lancashire Constabulary, Hardy & Greys Ltd, WADAA, fishing tackle shops and eBay, all items can be traced. There will also be a plea inserted in the next issue of Trout & Salmon, Fly Fishing & Fly tying, Trout Fisherman and Total Flyfisher soliciting the safe return of all items.
If a suitable venue or pick-up can be arranged with whoever found these items and has now assumed ownership, I will be extremely grateful.
The items in question may be returned to any police station lost property department.
Alternatively, to arrange a suitable venue, where hopefully, I can reunite with my trusty equipment, I state quite categorically, absolutely no questions will be asked. If you are interested in returning the items to their rightful owner, please make immediate and confidential contact with the club by clicking here
