Welcome
to the Game Fishing section of the Prince Albert website. The society's range
of game fishing waters, varies from still waters, tributaries, to full flowing
majestic rivers, affording the game angler excellent sport for a variety of
game fish species, details of which, can be found in the water's guide issued
to our members, along with clearly detailed reference maps outlining access,
boundaries, species likely to be encountered etc, a gate key may be required
for access and parking.
The society's waters are extensive, and offer you game fishing of unrivalled
quality for a minimal subscription, set in some spectacular scenery, it's
a delight just to be there.
We undertake stocking of certain waters on a regular monthly basis, from March
through to September, with the input of rainbow, and brown trout, and an abundance
of small fry for on growing, It is permissible to take fish from certain waters
for the table, but please seek reference to the water's guide, your membership
card, and importantly, any information that may be displayed on the water
before doing so, observing bag limits and rules.
Access onto our waters is usually very good, and regular working parties endeavour
to keep access points open, but for the less able bodied, we recommend reading
the water's guide before your intended visit.
As separate byelaws apply in each of the regions of the Environment Agency,
fishing dates can vary considerably, both for species, and the area fished,
the type of fishing method also varies, fly, worming, spinning etc, we cannot
list all the information here, and you would be well advised to contact the
Environment Agency, responsible for the area you wish to visit, phone numbers
can be found on the reverse of your rod licence.
Please be advised that under no circumstance, should a member take non-members
onto any part of society waters, without the prior consent of the committee,
or club official. Your safety is of paramount importance, and for those of
you fishing the fly, we strongly recommend the wearing of eye protection,
and some sort of life support aid, especially on our rivers.
The Prince Albert Angling Society is respectful to all forms of animal life,
and the countryside environment, please ensure you continue to uphold that
respect, by taking litter home, leaving no nylon line, and little if any trace
that you have been there.
Please remember, it is an offence, to be found in possession of rod caught
salmon dead or alive prior to, and including the 16th day of June in any year,
any salmon caught should be released unharmed immediately, also please be
advised that you are required to carry your society membership card correctly
filled in, and a current environment agency rod licence applicable to the
species fished for, whilst on any of our society waters. The environment agency
