There has been recent changes to the postage rates which are now based on size of the envelope as well as the weight. The maximum size of envelope you can send by letter rate is now 240mm x 165mm and must be no thicker than 5mm. I would suggest you do not use a greeting card type envelopes as many of the larger ones fall outside these dimensions.
Where possible use a standard letter envelope, it really will save you having problems. The following are guidelines for postage: 2 – 4 membership cards = 40p 2nd class or 48p 1st class lager letter 4 plus membership cards = 60p 2nd class or 70p 1st class large letter Please ensure the postage is correct, if you stray from these guidelines your mail may be held at the post office until the difference in paid plus a £1 post office handling charge |
