After postponing the Puritz Grayling day from the original date at the end of Feb due to high river levels the PAAS club Grayling day finally went ahead on Sunday 7th March. The venue was the River Dee at Erbistock.

The Grayling competition has now been rescheduled for Sunday 7th March. Venue remains the same – R.Dee, Erbistock.
A few of the original entrants are unable to make the new date so there are spaces available. Entrance fee is £3 [payable on the day] and the winner will receive a trophy and also a Sonik SK [...]
We’ll be organising a fly only Grayling competition to be held on the PA beat of the River Dee
As with the same event in 2009, the format of the day will be informal – by no means a deadly serious competition and a great way to exchange methods, flies and maybe gain a little knowledge [...]
This morning the river was high [over 1m] and coloured, fishing would have been tricky. I want to run the comp on a day where everyone can wade and fish the width of the river and hopefully catch a few fish. We’d have struggled to get into the water and anglers would have been jostling [...]
Please note that there will be a competition held on the Boat Inn – Erbistock stretch of the River Dee on Sunday 7th Feb.
To prevent overcrowding of the river, this water will be closed to non entrants on the day of the comp.
